Description

A really hot chilli with 7cm long red fruit. Ideal for Indian or Mexican food with a much better flavour than Chilli Powder. Any surplus pods may be dried, to use whole, or ground to a superior powder. Needs a long season so start early. Very prolific.

Sowing Time: March to April.

Sowing Instructions: Sow seeds on the surface of a free-draining compost and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost. Place in a propagator at 25-30C until after germination, which takes 10 to 15 days.

Growing Instructions: Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 3in pots. Plant in final situation when plants are 4in high, 18in apart. Outdoor crops - acclimatise plants to outdoor conditions before planting in sunny, fertile, moist, well drained soil, after all risk of frost.

After Care: Feed plants weekly with a tomato fertiliser once first fruits have set.
