Description
A traditional Italian variety with yellow-brown skin and sweet, firm flesh. Superb pickling variety when grown at high densities; produces flat bulbs, typically 8cm in diameter when grown at a lower density. Excellent flavour.
Sowing Time: March to April.
Sowing Instructions: Sow seeds thinly 1cm (½in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart.
Growing Instructions: When large enough to handle, thin seedlings to 3-4in apart.
After Care: Keep well watered during dry weather especially during early stages of growth as the bulb swells.
