Description
An abundance of attractive early maturing butternut colour scalloped long storing fruits which have a unique sweet melon aroma when cut.
Sowing Time: April to May.
Sowing Instructions: Sow seeds in 3in pots at 20-25C of a good free draining, damp seed compost, 1/2in deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which takes 10-15 days.
Growing Instructions: Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 12cm apart. Can also be sown direct outdoors once the soil has warmed. Sow 2 seeds every 120cm and later thin out to the strongest seedling.
After Care: Prefers well drained, moist, rich soil in full sun.
