Description

A late maincrop type with very strong roots, giving excellent resistance to breakage and splitting. Good colour and excellent flavour. Strong tops for lifting. Intermediate resistance to cavity spot and very good resistance to frost damage.

Sowing Time: Sow seeds between March to July
 
Germination: Germinates at 8 - 30°C.
 
Sowing Instructions: Sow seeds outdoors from March in a rich, well drained soil which does not contain fresh manure or compost. Sow seeds in drills 1cm (½in) deep, spaced 30cm (12in) apart.
 
Growing Instructions: When the seedlings are large enough to handle, start thinning them out so that they are finally 10cm (4in) apart.
 
After Care: As the carrots grow push soil up over any exposed roots.
