Description

An excellent maincrop Nantes type which shows good establishment and early vigour. The tops are very clean, showing tolerance to alternaria, and are strongly attached allowing very late top lifting. Roots are smooth, very uniform, and tolerant of violet root rot, crown rot and cavity spot.

Sowing Time: Sow seeds between March to July

Germination: Germinates at 8 - 30°C.

Sowing Instructions: Sow seeds outdoors from March in a rich, well drained soil which does not contain fresh manure or compost. Sow seeds in drills 1cm (½in) deep, spaced 30cm (12in) apart.

Growing Instructions: When the seedlings are large enough to handle, start thinning them out so that they are finally 10cm (4in) apart.

After Care: As the carrots grow push soil up over any exposed roots.
