Description
Orange flowers. Height 60cm. Petals used as a substitute colouring for Saffron in rice etc, and added fresh to salads. Also used medicinally.
Sowing Time: Sow directly in March to April or August to September
Sowing Instructions: Sow thinly, 6mm deep in drills 30cm apart in well-cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Water ground regularly, especially in dry periods. Seeds will germinate at 15-20°C. Germination should occur in 7 to 10 days.
Growing Instructions: Thin out seedlings until they are finally 30cm (12in) apart in spring.
