Description
Oriental spinach with attractive serrated leaves. Thick leaves with a smooth leaf surface and dark green colour. Excellent flavour. Upright growth aids picking. Suitable for sowing January to March and October to December under glass.
Sowing Time: January to March.
Sowing Instructions: Sow seeds thinly outdoors ½in deep in broad drills 12in apart in soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Earlier and later sowings can extend the season under cloches.
Growing Instructions: Thin seedlings to 3in apart when large enough to handle. Harvest leaves as required, picking only a few from each plant. Keep well watered during dry weather.
Sowings made in height of summer may bolt. Prefers a rich, moist well drained soil in full sun.
